Google co-founders propose to sell 10 million of their shares meaning they will no longer control the company with only 48 percent of shares.

The co-founders will continue to be the company’s largest individual shareholders; however, the move will strip them of their current combined control of 59% of the stock. After the sales, they will hold 48% of the stock.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin [BOTH JEWISH] plan to space out the sales over a period of five years in an attempt to deter any sudden change in the value of the stock.

"They are integrally involved in our day-to-day management and product strategy. The majority of their net worth remains with Google," Google spokeswoman, Jane Penner, said.

At today’s prices, the sales will let USD 5.5 billion change hands. A share of Google currently stands at USD 550.01.

Google shares started trading at about USD 169.40 when Google went public in August, 2004.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has violated US laws by collecting over 2,000 telephone records under the Bush administration.

The Washington Post said Tuesday it obtained emails that showed the ‘spy agency’ created false terrorism emergencies between 2002 and 2006 in order to collect information concerning its citizens.

According to the report, the FBI admitted that it had violated the Electronic Communications Privacy Act by doing so.

"This practice ceased in 2006 and never involved obtaining the content of telephone conversations. Additionally, steps have been taken to ensure similar situations do not occur in the future," FBI spokesman Michael Kortan told Reuters.

"No FBI employee used informal methods to obtain telephone records for reasons other than a legitimate investigative interest," he added.

The Justice Department is expected to release a report this month to show the extent of the violations.

A report by the New York Times said President Obama has not responded to the intrusion for the lack of evidence that the Chinese government, directly or indirectly, was behind the attack.

The report said the attempts to break into private Gmail accounts months ago forced the Google Company to launch a probe into the matter.

Google says that a computer in Taiwan was found to be the source of the attacks, but the masterminds behind the operation were located in China.

By hacking into the specific computer, engineers gathered evidence of the aftermath of the attacks that also targeted at least 33 other companies, including Adobe Systems, Northrop Grumman and Juniper Networks, the report added.

Google then notified American intelligence and law enforcement to look into the issue. However, they were unable to gather concrete evidence to pin the attack on the Chinese, the report said.

President Obama, thus, has not been able to say anything in public about the attacks or demand an official investigation by the Chinese government, the Times said.

Google has threatened that the cyber attack might force it to end its China operations.

Was William Sidis the smartest man on earth? The simple answer is I don’t know and nobody ever can know. To date there still does not exist any evidence to support the claim that Sidis was the smartest man on earth, and without evidence there is no logical reason to entertain the idea. Nevertheless, there is evidence of how the myth was born and popularized.

In 1946, Abraham Sperling wrote “A Story of Genius”, an article that focused on the life of William Sidis.1 In the article Sperling stated: “Helena Sidis told me that a few years before his death, her brother Bill took an intelligence test with a psychologist. His score was the very highest that had ever been obtained. In terms of I.Q., the psychologist related that the figure would be between 250 and 300. Late in life William Sidis took general intelligence tests for Civil Service positions in New York and Boston. His phenomenal ratings are matter of record.”2 Sperling’s comments in the article were predominately based upon hearsay and popular beliefs of the time. Did the psychiatrist actually give an IQ test, or did the psychiatrist merely allude to Sidis’ civil service results as perhaps being the performance of an individual with an IQ of 250-300? Until the day that Sidis’ actual exam scores are made available, it is irrational to form any belief about Sidis’ IQ that is based solely on Sperling’s comments.

An American who has been jailed in Cuba and denounced as a spy is a 60-year-old international development expert from Potomac who was working on a U.S. government project to help the island’s Jewish community access the Internet, according to former colleagues and other sources.

The arrest of Alan P. Gross was the clearest sign yet of a chill between Washington and Havana, after an initial warming under the Obama administration. The Cuban government has not charged Gross. But it has kept him in prison since his Dec. 4 arrest and has portrayed his activities as part of a long-running U.S. campaign for regime change in the island nation.

Gross was working for a controversial democracy-promotion program — which had ballooned under the Bush administration — to provide communications equipment to break the Cuban government’s "information blockade."

Friends said Gross was excited about the program and did not seem to realize the danger he faced.

"It was probably pure naiveness, innocence — not seeing anything wrong with what he was doing," said Bob Rourke, a development consultant who has known Gross for 20 years. "He’s definitely not a shrewd, calculating person. He’s someone who genuinely gets into situations because he thinks he can help."

The U.S. government and Gross’s employer, Bethesda-based Development Alternatives Inc., had declined to identify him until now, apparently hoping that the case would be resolved quietly. But last week, the Cuban National Assembly president, Ricardo Alarcón, accused Gross of being "contracted to work for American intelligence services."

The U.S. government has denied that, describing Development Alternatives as a contractor for the U.S. Agency for International Development.

The case has also raised concerns that the Jewish groups involved in the project could face repercussions. Under Cuban law, it is illegal for citizens to cooperate with U.S. democracy programs.

Sources familiar with Gross’s work said he was helping Cubans download music, access Wikipedia and read the Encyclopaedia Britannica, which was provided on flash drives. The project is also aimed at helping members of the small Cuban Jewish community communicate among themselves and with Jews overseas, the sources said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the case.

Asked about Gross’s work, the president of Development Alternatives, James Boomgard, said he was trying to facilitate communications in "a nonviolent, non-dissident religious organization."

"Alan is a social worker by training and a dedicated international development professional with 25 years of experience delivering humanitarian assistance to people in some 50 countries around the world," he said in a statement.

Gross’s wife, Judy, issued a brief statement saying that it was "a difficult time for our family," which includes two daughters in their 20s. "We are grateful for the support and prayers that we have received for the safe and speedy return of our husband and father," it added.

Former colleagues said Gross has worked for decades on economic development programs, often as a contractor for USAID. In recent years, he became fascinated by technology, they said, including ways to connect people to the Internet. One recent assignment involved setting up satellite connections for development organizations in Afghanistan, said Bob Otto, a former colleague.

"He’s like somebody’s neighbor. He’s no James Bond, that’s for sure," Otto said.

SEATTLE — As you flip through a range of channels on your TV or browse through a stack of newspapers and magazines at a newsstand, you may feel lucky to live in a world where such a plethora of viewpoints is available. It might also seem that the apparent increase in media choices also increases the chances for the public interest to be understood and served fairly.

Unfortunately, this is far from the case. The media world is shrinking by the day.

Welcome to 2010.

The coming year could be one of major media consolidation. Predictions regarding mergers of media companies are somewhat frightening.

In his Los Angeles Times article "2010 predictions: Another turbulent year ahead for media," Joe Flint determines that the debate in the media world "over which is king — content or distribution" was settled in 2009. As a result, a new wave of mergers is likely to follow. Giant media will guzzle other giant media, which had already swallowed less enormous media companies.

When the third U.S. president, Thomas Jefferson, made his famous assertion that "the only security of all is in a free press," he hardly had media consolidation in mind.

Giant media companies reflect the giant, albeit specific business interests of their owners and their advertisers. Neither News Corp. nor Viacom are dedicating their services to serving the public. Such companies are dedicated only to financial growth, even at the expense of what matters to the majority of their consumers. While media companies proudly propagate the value of democracy, they are neither democratic nor representative.

How will democracy, mass participation or public interest be served by Comcast Corp.’s purchase of NBC’s Universal, or Disney Co.’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment Inc. The media industry has turned into a jungle where the survival of the fittest is determined not by value of content, or by contribution to society, but by "smart" business deals that ensure survival in an increasingly demanding media market.

Regardless of whether the Federal Communications Commission has lived up to its mandate (established in 1934 to operate for the benefit of "public convenience, interest or necessity"), the fact remains that the FCC is now part of the incessant efforts aimed at concentrating the ownership of the media in fewer hands.

"Get ready for a flood of media consolidation deals," Ira Teinowitz wrote in theWrap.com.

The reason is simple, but requires a short detour. In the mid 1990s, the FCC began relaxing its regulations on media ownership. In 1996 a process of "deregulation" led to a wave of mergers, as thousands of radio stations were sold to a few larger companies, and TV ownership became more concentrated than ever before. In 2003, the FCC once again moved to deregulate U.S. laws regarding media, and this time the new media ownership laws targeted local media across the United States.

Fortunately, a U.S. court moved in to thwart the FCC’s concessions that seemed to mainly serve large media conglomerates. But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit’s decision is being challenged once more.

The economic recession in the U.S. has hit many newspapers hard. One hundred and fifty newspapers have either gone out of business altogether or are now online, the Seattle PI and Christian Science Monitor among them. Thousands of media outlets across the U.S. are barely breaking even and many are struggling to come up with a viable business model, with little hope on the horizon.

The time is ripe for media vultures to make their move. The court blocked the FCC’s attempt in 2003 to change the rules of ownership; now it is reconsidering that decision. "A three-judge panel of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia, which had put the stay in effect, ordered the FCC and consumer groups to ‘show cause’ (by the middle of this month) why the stay should not be dropped."

If the rules are reversed, mergers and further media consolidation will affect the top 20 U.S. markets. Knowing what we know about the history of encroachment of large media companies, we can only guess that this is just the beginning of further concentration of media ownership, and subsequently the stifling of freedom of expression for most people, especially those whose opinion is not consistent with the business, political or ideological interests of media owners and their benefactors.

This trend is not confined to the U.S. The economic recession is global and giant media companies are not operating within specific geographic boundaries.

"The Spanish media sector saw the start of a wave of consolidation amid signs that at least two of them were close to announcing a tieup," reported the Financial Times on Dec. 17. This story is being repeated in various countries. Moreover, consolidation is felt in all media sectors including film and music.

The continuation of this trend is terrible news for public interest, civil society and democracy as a whole. We must resist the shameless efforts of the few at owning everything we see, hear and read. When all the influences that shape our views of our surroundings and the world at large are owned, the public will eventually be forced to surrender its very self-definition.

Yes, even the way we define ourselves will ultimately be determined by a billionaire in some penthouse, who makes his wealth selling us packaged lies as news and trash as entertainment.

SEATTLE — As you flip through a range of channels on your TV or browse through a stack of newspapers and magazines at a newsstand, you may feel lucky to live in a world where such a plethora of viewpoints is available. It might also seem that the apparent increase in media choices also increases the chances for the public interest to be understood and served fairly.

Unfortunately, this is far from the case. The media world is shrinking by the day.

Welcome to 2010.

The coming year could be one of major media consolidation. Predictions regarding mergers of media companies are somewhat frightening.

In his Los Angeles Times article "2010 predictions: Another turbulent year ahead for media," Joe Flint determines that the debate in the media world "over which is king — content or distribution" was settled in 2009. As a result, a new wave of mergers is likely to follow. Giant media will guzzle other giant media, which had already swallowed less enormous media companies.

When the third U.S. president, Thomas Jefferson, made his famous assertion that "the only security of all is in a free press," he hardly had media consolidation in mind.

Giant media companies reflect the giant, albeit specific business interests of their owners and their advertisers. Neither News Corp. nor Viacom are dedicating their services to serving the public. Such companies are dedicated only to financial growth, even at the expense of what matters to the majority of their consumers. While media companies proudly propagate the value of democracy, they are neither democratic nor representative.

How will democracy, mass participation or public interest be served by Comcast Corp.’s purchase of NBC’s Universal, or Disney Co.’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment Inc. We hold the military supremacy, yet fail the battle over the international media. We need to buy time for the IDF to succeed, and the least we can do is spare some (additional) minutes on the net. The ministry of foreign affairs is putting great efforts in balancing the media, but we all know it’s a battle of numbers. The more we post, blog, talkback, vote – the more likely we gain positive sentiment.

I was asked by the ministry of foreign affairs to arrange a network of volunteers, who are willing to contribute to this effort. If you’re up to it you will receive a daily messages & media package as well as targets.

Israeli students and demobilized soldiers get paid to pretend they are just regular folks and leave pro-Israel comments on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other sites. The effort is meant to fight the “well-oiled machine” of “pro-Palestinian websites, with huge budgets… with content from the Hamas news agency.” The approach was test-marketed during Israel’s assault on Gaza, and by groups like Give Israel Your United Support, a controversial effort to use instant-access technology to crowd-source Israel advocates to fill in flash polls or vote up key articles on social networking sites.

Will the responders who are hired for this also present themselves as “ordinary net-surfers”?

“Of course,” says Shturman. “Our people will not say: ‘Hello, I am from the policy-explanation department of the Israeli Foreign Ministry and I want to tell you the following.’ Nor will they necessarily identify themselves as Israelis. They will speak as net-surfers and as citizens, and will write responses that will look personal but will be based on a prepared list of messages that the Foreign Ministry developed.”

The Foreign Ministry presents: talkbackers in the service of the State

After they became an inseparable part of the service provided by public-relations companies and advertising agencies, paid Internet talkbackers are being mobilized in the service in the service of the State. The Foreign Ministry is in the process of setting up a team of students and demobilized soldiers who will work around the clock writing pro-Israeli responses on Internet websites all over the world, and on services like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube. The Foreign Ministry’s department for the explanation of Israeli policy* is running the project, and it will be an integral part of it. The project is described in the government budget for 2009 as the “Internet fighting team” – a name that was given to it in order to distinguish it from the existing policy-explanation team, among other reasons, so that it can receive a separate budget. Even though the budget’s size has not yet been disclosed to the public, sources in the Foreign Ministry have told Calcalist that in will be about NIS 600.000 in its first year, and it will be increased in the future. From the primary budget, about NIS 200.000 will be invested in round-the-clock activity at the micro-blogging website Twitter, which was recently featured in the headlines for the services it provided to demonstrators during the recent disturbances in Iran.

“To all intents and purposes the Internet is a theatre in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and we must be active in that theatre, otherwise we will lose,” Elan Shturman, deputy director of the policy-explanation department in the Foreign Ministry, and who is directly responsible for setting up the project, says in an interview with Calcalist. “Our policy-explanation achievements on the Internet today are impressive in comparison to the resources that have been invested so far, but the other side is also investing resources on the Internet. There is an endless array of pro-Palestinian websites, with huge budgets, rich with information and video clips that everyone can download and post on their websites. They are flooding the Internet with content from the Hamas news agency. It is a well-oiled machine. Our objective is to penetrate into the world in which these discussions are taking place, where reports and videos are published – the blogs, the social networks, the news websites of all sizes. We will introduce a pro-Israeli voice into those places. What is now going on in Iran is the proof of the need for such an operational branch,” adds Shturman. “It’s not like a group of friends is going to bring down the government with Twitter messages, but it does help to expand the struggle to vast dimensions.”

The missions: “monitoring” and “fostering discussions”

The Foreign Ministry intends to recruit youths who speak at least one foreign language and who are studying communications, political science or law, or alternatively those whose military background is in units that deal with information analysis. “It is a youthful language”, explains Shturman. “Older people do not know how to write blogs, how to act there, what the accepted norms are. The basic conditions are a high capacity for expression in English – we also have French- and Swedish-speakers – and familiarity with the online milieu. We are looking for people who are already writing blogs and circulating in Facebook”.

Members of the new unit will work at the Ministry (“They will punch a time card,” says Shturman) and enjoy the full technical support of Tahila, the government’s ISP, which is responsible for computer infrastructure and Internet services for government departments. “Their missions will be defined along the lines of the government policies that they will be required to defend on the Internet. It could be the situation in Gaza, the situation in the north or whatever is decided. We will determine which international audiences we want to reach through the Internet and the strategy we will use to reach them, and the workers will implement that on in the field. Of course they will not distribute official communiquיs; they will draft the conversations themselves. We will also activate an Internet-monitoring team – people who will follow blogs, the BBC website, the Arabic websites.”

According to Shturman the project will begin with a limited budget, but he has plans to expand the team and its missions: “the new centre will also be able to support Israel as an economic and commercial entity,” he says. “Alternative energy, for example, now interests the American public and Congress much more than the conflict in the Middle East. If through my team I can post in blogs dealing with alternative energy and push the names of Israeli companies there, I will strengthen Israel’s image as a developed state that contributes to the quality of the environment and to humanity, and along with that I may also manage to help an Israeli company get millions of dollars worth of contracts. The economic potential here is great, but for that we will require a large number of people. What is unique about the Internet is the fragmentation into different communities, every community deals with what interests it. To each of those communities you have to introduce material that is relevant to it.”

The inspiration: covert advertising on the Internet

The Foreign Ministry admits that the inspiration comes from none other than the much-reviled field of compensated commercial talkback: employees of companies and public-relations firms who post words of praise on the Internet for those who sent them there – the company that is their employer or their client. The professional responders normally identify themselves as chance readers of the article they are responding to or as “satisfied customers” of the company they are praising.

Test-firing in the Gaza War

According to Shturman, although it is only now that the project is receiving a budget and a special department in the Foreign Ministry, in practice the Ministry has been using its own responders since the last war in Gaza, when the Ministry recruited volunteer talkbackers. “During Operation Cast Lead we appealed to Jewish communities abroad and with their help we recruited a few thousand volunteers, who were joined by Israeli volunteers. We gave them background material and policy-explanation material, and we sent them to represent the Israeli point of view on news websites and in polls on the Internet,” says Shturman. “Our target audience then was the European Left, which was not friendly towards the policy of the government. For that reason we began to get involved in discussions on blogs in England, Spain and Germany, a very hostile environment.”

And how much change have you effected so far?

“It is hard to prove success in this kind of activity, but it is clear that we succeeded in bypassing the European television networks, which are very critical of Israel, and we have created direct dialogues with the public.”

What things have you done there exactly?

“For example, we sent someone to write in the website of a left-wing group in Spain. He wrote ‘it is not exactly as you say.’ Someone at the website replied to him, and we replied again, we gave arguments, pictures. Dialogue like that opens people’s eyes.”

Elon Gilad, a worker at the Foreign Ministry who coordinated the activities of the volunteer talkbackers during the war in Gaza and will coordinate the activities of the professional talkbackers in the new project, says that volunteering for talkback in defence of Israel started spontaneously: “Many times people contacted us and asked how they could help to explain Israeli policy. They mainly do it at times like the Gaza operation. People just asked for information, and afterwards we saw that the information was distributed all over the Internet. The Ministry of Absorption also started a project at that time, and they transferred to us hundreds of volunteers who speak foreign languages and who will help to spread the information. That project too mainly spreads information on the Internet.”

“You can’t win”

While most of the net-surfers were recruited through websites like giyus.org, which was officially activated by a Jewish lobby [and has basically the same goal and modus operandi], in some cases is it was the Foreign Ministry that took the initiative to contact the surfers and asked them to post talkbacks sympathetic to the State and the government [of Israel] on the Internet and to help recruit volunteers. That’s how Michal Carmi, an active blogger and associate general manager at the high-tech placement company Tripletec, was recruited to the online policy-explanation team.

“During Operation Cast Lead the Foreign Ministry wrote to me and other bloggers and asked us to make our opinions known on the international stage as well,” Carmi tells Calcalist. “They sent us pages with ‘taking points’ and a great many video clips. I focussed my energies on Facebook, and here and there I wrote responses on blogs where words like ‘Holocaust’ and ‘murder’ were used in connection with Israel’s Gaza action. I had some very hard conversations there. Several times the Foreign Ministry also recommended that we access specific blogs and get involved in the discussions that were taking place there.”

And does it work? Does it have any effect?

“I am not sure that that strategy was correct. The Ministry did excellent work, they sent us a flood of accurate information, but it focussed on Israeli suffering and the threat of the missiles. But the view of the Europeans is one-dimensional. Israeli suffering does not seem relevant to them compared to Palestinian suffering.”

“You can never win in this struggle. All you can do is be there and express your position,” is how Gilad sums up the effectiveness so far, as well as his expectations of the operation when it begins to receive a government budget.

Edward Bernays was is hailed as the "Father of Public Realations" or as I like to call it Brainwashing!

He was responsible for persuading Americans that we need to put flouride in our water, that smoking was beneficial, that we need to enter WW I and WW II, and did the P.R. for Unied Fruit leading to the "Banana Republic’s". He is worth studying since it is through Public Relations that America is being tricked into giving up it’s freedoms. Buzz word’s and blanket statement’s rule in our media this makes discussion and dissent almost impossible. I will be adding to this thread as time goes on Bernays is prime example of what professional liars Jews are. His methods are what is outlined in the Protocols of Zion and why Jews love "Democracy" so it allows a very small minority to rule the majority and do it from behind the scenes.

On July 18, 2009, at about 9:30pm Pacific time, Wikipedia blacklisted the following important websites on ritual abuse:

I have attempted to get information from Wikipedia on why my website was blacklisted and to get it de-blacklisted. I have been stonewalled on both counts.

Since February, 2008, on Wikipedia’s page on "Satanic Ritual Abuse," Wikipedia’s staff has been suppressing and deleting credible posts from credible sources (including my posts- I am a licensed California psychologist) that have documented substantial criminal and psychological evidence of criminal ritual abuse, and instead has completely discounted the existence of ritual abuse.

As of July 27, 2009, Wikipedia’s page on "Satanic ritual abuse" begins as follows: "Satanic ritual abuse (SRA, sometimes known as ritual abuse, ritualistic abuse, organised abuse, sadistic abuse and other variants) refers to a moral panic that originated in the United States in the 1980s, spreading throughout the country and eventually to many parts of the world, before subsiding in the late 1990s."

Wikipedia has now escalated its censorship of all information supporting the existence of ritual abuse by blacklisting four important websites about ritual abuse on July 18, 2009.

I find Wikipedia’s history of treatment of this issue dangerous to victims and survivors of ritual abuse and dangerous to victims of child abuse in general.

An account of my correspondence with Wikipedia on this matter is pasted in below.

This correspondence clearly demonstrates that Wikipedia has stonewalled my polite attempts to communicate with them on this issue. When I persisted, Wikipedia directed me to send a letter via registered mail to the Wikimedia Foundation for comment,

However, when Wanda Karriker, Ph.D., on October 15, 2008, sent a registered letter to Wikipedia concerning Wikipedia’s treatment of the subject of ritual abuse, she received no response. I also include the correspondence by Dr. Karriker below.

Dr. Karriker is one of four authors of the Extreme Abuse Survey. The website for the Extreme Abuse Survey, extreme-abuse-survey.net, is one of the four websites that Wikipedia blacklisted on July 18, 2009.
It is clear that Wikipedia refuses to consider any documentation about the existence of ritual abuse.

Wikipedia claims that its mission is: "The mission of the Wikimedia Foundation is to empower and engage people around the world to collect and develop educational content under a free license or in the public domain, and to disseminate it effectively and globally."
Wikipedia claims that its vision is: "Imagine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. That’s our commitment."

I find these claims by Wikipedia to be untrue, based on its censorship of the evidence of ritual abuse. I also believe that Wikipedia is recklessly putting child abuse victims in danger by its treatment of this issue. I deem Wikipedia to be irresponsible, unethical, and to be in violation of its own statutes.

I urge individuals and organizations to disseminate this article, including freely re-posting it to other websites, with the condition that it be posted in its entirety with nothing added or removed from the article .
